First round of the Surface Waters Joint Field Survey (SW JFS) was conducted for identified water bodies in the Chorokhi-Adjaristkali pilot basin of Georgia for the period 10-15 June. Field monitoring teams of the National Environmnetal Agency and the Black Sea Monitoring Division participated in the Survey. Overall 24 samling sites have been assessed for physical-chemical, hydro-biological and hydro-morphological conditions. Chemical and biological samples were also collected from these sites that will be analysed later in the NEA environmental laboratory.
