Transboundary Upper Dnieper River Basin Council, May 2013
The most active Dnipro Basin Council was established in 2011 as an advisory body to the State Water Resources Management Agency of Ukraine. The role of the Secretariat of the Council performs the Dnieper BUVR, based in Vyshgorod. The main tasks of the Dnieper Basin Council, as reflected in its charter, are the following:
- Review and evaluation of quantitative and qualitative status of water resources, causes and effects of its changes to natural ecosystems and economic sectors and forecast trends in the processes that affect the quality of water resources and water volumes....
Ground Water Joint Field Survey in Dniepr basin Ukraine, May 2013
The purpose of the joint field survey was:
- To fill in data gaps on groundwater in the pilot Dniepr river basin ;
- To train groundwater experts from Ukraine to perform WFD compliant groundwater monitoring using modern monitoring equipment.
Three groundwater experts and CWME-Ukraine participated in the joint field survey.

Joint Field Survey on Groundwater in Prut basin, Moldova, 14-25 May 2013
First groundwater joint field survey (JFS) was successfully implemented by the project team, together with specialists from the countries of Moldova and Ukraine (in the Dnieper River basin and in the Prut River basin).
The purpose of the Prut basin survey was two-fold:
a) To fill in data gaps on groundwater; and

UNECE Water and Danube River Protection Conventions and PWH Seminar in Minsk, Belarus
On 18th of April, 2013 the project team organised a Workshop in Minsk, Belarus entitled “UNECE Water and Danube River Protection Conventions and Protocol on Water and Health Seminar”.
